Rigorous diligence. Decisive capital.

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

Our Process

From submission to operation — a clear path to getting your project funded.

We move with discipline and speed. Our process is designed to assess opportunities quickly, commit with conviction, and support your project through to completion. Every stage is built around a simple principle: serious capital meeting serious projects, with clarity on both sides at every step.

Submit

It starts with your project. We ask sponsors to share the key details upfront — project stage, location, technology, size, and the current status of permitting, interconnection, and offtake or revenue contracts. This initial picture lets us understand the opportunity quickly and determine whether it aligns with our focus before either side invests significant time. The more complete and accurate the information, the faster we can move. A well-prepared submission isn't just a formality — it's the first signal of a disciplined sponsor and a project worth backing.

Review & Screen

Once we have your project, our team evaluates it against our investment criteria — stage, technology, geography, project size, sponsor experience, and overall readiness. We assess the fundamentals: is the project bankable, is the path to construction credible, and does the risk-return profile fit our mandate? Our priority at this stage is speed and honesty. We move quickly to an early yes or no, because we know that uncertain capital is as costly to a developer as no capital at all. If a project is a fit, we tell you and move forward; if it isn't, we tell you that too — without leaving you waiting on a maybe.

Diligence

For projects that fit, the burden of proof sits with the sponsor. As the party seeking capital, the project company sponsor must demonstrate that the opportunity is valid, bankable, and worthy of investment through two independent reports — both commissioned and funded by the sponsor and prepared by industry-leading firms:

An independent engineering (IE) report confirming the project's technical integrity — regulatory permits, design and engineering details, equipment, and construction readiness.

A credit assessment confirming the bankability of the project's revenue contracts and the investment-grade creditworthiness of the off-taker.

These reports are not required for a term sheet, but they are a firm condition of closing. The diligence is non-negotiable — it gives both sides confidence that the engineering, the permits, the contracts, and the numbers hold up before capital is committed.

Structure & Commit

With diligence underway, we structure the investment for alignment. Our goal is a deal that works for both sides — transparent terms, clear governance, and a structure built around shared outcomes and a common interest in the project's success. We bring discipline and clarity to this stage, ensuring expectations, responsibilities, and returns are well-defined before anything is signed. Once the structure is agreed and conditions are met, we commit — and our capital, and our backing, are firmly behind the project. When Fortuna commits, sponsors can move forward with certainty.
